Texas is still HOT!
Well I dont have a lot of time to write an email!
But everything is great! I still love Texas and so that is good!
We had some pretty good lessons this week and some that cancelled on us which was really disappointing. But it just shows me that there are other people out there that we need to find, who are prepared for the gospel. So we are going to be doing that! I am super excited.
April is doing great with quitting smoking. Keep praying for her.
Serena left for college and so that was sad, but she is going to go to institute there, and we are going to refer her to the missionaries!
I read a really good talk called "Abide in me" by Elder Holland.
I liked this paragraph
Just eight weeks ago I was holding a mission district conference on the island of Chiloe, an interior location in the south of Chile that gets few visitors. Imagine the responsibility I felt in addressing these beautiful people when it was pointed out to me that a very elderly man seated near the front of the chapel had set out on foot at five o’clock that morning, walking for four hours to be in his seat by nine o’clock, for a meeting that was not scheduled to begin until eleven o’clock. He said he wanted to get a good seat. I looked into his eyes, thought of times in my life when I had been either too casual or too late, and thought of Jesus’ phrase, “I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”1
This really hit me hard. I know that I can be better about not being casual or late to things and even not just physically casual, but mentally and spiritually casual. We can be more focused in our prayers and during the sacrament. We can study more diligently and serve more willingly. We are so blessed with the things, families, and knowledge we have. Let us show the Lord our gratitude and strive to have the Holy Ghost more in our lives as we make the little changes and increase our faith.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve a mission. I am thankful for all that I get to learn and who I get to become. I love the people here. They are my family away from home. I know that this is the church of Jesus Christ restored on the earth today. I know there is a prophet on the earth, called by God, and I know that we can all receive our own revelation. How amazing is that?!!
Love yall!
