WINDY!!! (Video included)

Hey guys! This week has pretty much flown by. Literally. The wind was so bad everything was flying through the air. And we had to bike through it haha. I didnt think it was possible that the wind could blow all directions but it did. I feel like we never had it at our backs. But I guess I now have some killer leg muscles so its fine! Ive also never been yelled at to get off the road so many times in one night haha. Good thing I didnt have anything I could throw at people as they drove by...just kidding I wouldnt do that! Im a nice sister missionary....

But this week was really good! We got to travel up to Pawhuska and go on exchanges with the sisters up there. Pawhuska is a super cute little town which was great! I love small towns like that. We got to meet some pretty cool people and we also rode our bikes across a swinging bridge over a river! It was AWESOME!

Then we had a really cool miracle. There was a lady on our "do not contact" list named Lisa. But last transfer sister woolner and I didnt read that info and decided to try her anyways. So we knocked on her door, she was super friendly and way cool. She let us in and we became quick friends. Well we keep reaching out to her and asking if she needs any service done. Well, she finally was like "hey come over and help me paint christmas stuff." So we went over and had a great time! We also invited her to our relief society craft. And she said she would come. Which is amazing because like she didnt want anything to do with the church for the longest time. It was definitely meant that we found her and knocked on her door without knowing anything about her. Now we will just take baby steps with her until she comes back :)

On Friday night we were able to help serve thanksgiving dinner to the nursing home residents and their families. It was sooo fun! And EVERYONE asked which church we were from, so lots of missionary seeds were planted! (and we got to eat afterwards so I mean that was good too!) I love seeing all the old people. We got to see all of our friends who come to bible study on Tuesdays and I just had a fantastic time!

So on Saturday we had some extra time and didnt want to knock any more doors, so we borrowed some rakes from some members and asked people if we could help them rake their leaves! It was so fun and we worked way hard! We raked this one lady's leaves (her name was Flo!) and it turns out it was her birthday. She was so grateful for our help. It was fun!

We are super excited for thanksgiving. We are pretty much trying to see how many dinners we can get to haha. People keep inviting us over :) They must love us here or something. Ive decided im going to fast for like 4 days so I can eat as much as I want on thursday!

Yesterday we had a great day at church. The talks were all on Thankfulness and such and something that really stood out to me was a statistic that was shared about those who are grateful everyday. It said that those who are grateful are more likely to be happy, feel loved, and a ton of other things. It was like, "wow, I need to be grateful all the time because the benefits are awesome." So this week, try to be thankful everyday for everything.

We are so blessed and have so much. I am so grateful for my mission and all that I am learning. I am thankful for my amazing family and their commitment to the gospel. I am thankful for the beautiful earth that we live on. And most importantly im thankful for my Savior!

Yall are turkeys :)
