Sun or Snow!?
I know I say this every week, but I cannot remember what happened. I need to be better I know. haha. It honestly just goes so fast and all the days just blend together! haha but its the best and I am having a great time, besides the fact that one day it was 72 degrees and the next day it was 19. Yeah explain that to me. I have some pretty good pictures taken one day after another of completely different weather. Its ridiculous.
So this week we have been preparing for Alli's baptism on Saturday. She is so excited and is just that person that wants everything to be so cute. So of course we are decorating and having a valentines themed desserts and cookies afterwards. haha. It will be so fun.
By far the funniest thing that happened this week was bike week. Not only was it freezing but because we are always with the elders, we were biking with them to dinner and stuff. Well on top of that they were on exchanges and so we had two more missionaries to join the bike gang. So all 6 of us biked to dinner in the dark in nice clothing and laughed our heads off the entire time. But wait it gets better. The next night we had dinner at a ladys house in the Norman 4th ward (or something) and apparently she feeds all the missionaries once a month. So the next day 8 of us biked to her house in the light and received many confused and funny looks. We were a biker gang and I bet some people were probably scared when they saw us coming. It was hysterical! Ah missions are so fun.
Okay lets see what else. We kinda got thrown under the bus and were asked to sing (the elders and us) at our ward council on sunday. Yeah we practiced like once and it was um super good....haha hopefully they wont ask us again :) #alwayswilling #missionarylife
So you know a couple weeks ago we had 7 guys from Dubai come to church? yeah so we met with one of them, Abood, and got to talk to him for a while. He is not really interested in leraning about church or anything (he is Muslim and it was super cool to hear what they believe and stuff, I was actually really intrigued.) and then sister Lewis and I got him to write our names in Arabic. It looks way cool.
So the scariest thing that happened this week was Sunday night, we were in the institute, and someone had dropped off dinner for us to eat there and so we took our dinner late so we could just go home after. So its like almost 9 and then all the lights turn off. And then they turn back on. And then off again. And then the doors slam shut that lead into the other part of the building and I was so scared. I thought someone was messing with us. Turns out the power of like half of the city went out. So we scrambled around the dark with our phone lights and left and the power was also out in our apartment. haha. It was an adventure. It turned back on in the middle of the night I think. But like it was crazy.
Our investigator Hannah is doing really good. She is so close. She knows its true in her heart, but she also wants to know the answer to every single question ever and wants it to make sense in her brain too. Keep praying for her. I know she will get there in her own time. (Hopefully soon)
Well its been a good week. The gospel is so true, I love the joy it brings to life, it is the best thing ever!
