BBQ is my FAVORITE!

Hey guys!!!

This week has been one of miracles let me tell ya!

So first off we almost biked as much as week did last week! I dont know why, the Elders had the car like all week. We went on exchanges this week. I stayed in my area and was able to lead it out! I loved it, it was pretty cool. I felt really bad for Sister Burke who came with me. I made her bike almost 20 miles! (I bought her a snow cone dont worry she didnt die). It was a good experience though and made me excited to become a senior companion down the road and be able to lead more.
The next day we also didnt have the car. Sister Bash was feeling motivated (thank goodness) (Just kidding, she does great and its usually not a problem) but we biked like 27 miles that day! And we got a little bit of rain! My backpack is black and so it actually has white sweat marks all around it. Its pretty gross!

So this week we went to go see Steve and Jenette. We were optimistic after last week even though they told us they were not getting married. So we went and just were talking at the beginning and then Steve was like "Well, we've changed our minds." We both immediately were jumping for joy and I dont think I stopped smiling the whole time we were there. It was such a spiritual and sweet experience. Steve has some amazing experiences with prayer this week at work. And then he read 30 pages of the Book of Mormon. Now listen. Steve doesnt read. He has really bad eyesight and cant remember a single books hes finished in his life. He told us that he couldnt put the book down. He had a day off of work and said that he had a lot of time to think. He said he finally realized what was more important in life. Anyways they talked to the bishop on sunday and are planning they wedding for August 26, followed by their baptism the following week! Also they watched the Restoration movie and loved it. They actually want to take a trip our to Nauvoo and see all the church history sights. The cool thing about that is all the youth this week in the stake, were on a trip to nauvoo. So with it being fast Sunday they all got up and bore testimony of the trip. Steve and Jenette loved it. It was one of the most powerful testimony meetings ive been in.

The same day we went to visit Amy. Amy needs a lot of support and help in her life so that was our third time seeing her that week. Anyways, she is so wiling to grow and change her life. She also committed to be baptized! So we had 3 baptism dates in one day! Miracle!!! We are planning on August 19th for Amy. Thank you for all the prayers!

So on Saturday we were taken out to dinner by a less active man and his baptist wife. We went to this place called smokies and honestly is was some of the best bbq ive had. (This week ive become more obsessed with bbq sauce than I already was) The place smokes its meat every night and they are so popular they often run out of meat on the weekends. Its like a little cabin like place and they have really cool rustic lights and feeling to it. Its my favorite place to eat ive been to out here.

Another miracle. Bree got a new job! Hopefully this means she wont have to work Sundays and can now come to church! We hope so!

Well I love you all, Thanks for all the prayers! I really do feel them everyday.

Love, Sister Gentry
