Summer Lovin!
I couldnt think of anything else for my title, so this is what we got. Its fitting though because I really do love summer. Too bad people dont love my sweatyness as much as I love the gospel! Just kidding!
This week was one of miracles though. I dont have time to share all of them though! Wish I did.
Anyways, first one. We took a member (actually a recently returned missionary from Provo haha) and went to a little town called Henrietta. Last time we were there, we gave a less active members grandson, a book of Mormon. So we were coming to follow up with him, but we ended up teaching her 13 year old granddaughter the plan of salvation. It was awesome. She loved it and told us she really wanted to come to church!
Next one, there is a family in our ward moving. (which is not the miracle haha we are sad they are going) anyways, they told us to come over and grab the food in their freezer (also not the miracle haha). At the same time, they had the moving company there. they were talking to one of the movers, and he is totally interested in the church. He says that he has loved all the mormon people he has ever met and never investigated because his Dad was a pastor and he felt like he couldnt. Well his dad just retired and he feels like he can now! We are meeting with him this week and we are sooo excited!
We also got to meet with Serena again. She is doing great. She couldnt come to church though, because her mom wont let her. Keep her in your prayers! We know it will work out when it is supposed to!
Also one of the highlights of my week, was that Steve McKee from Broken Arrow came down and took us to lunch. I was so happy! We went to this place called Cheddars and it was sooo good! Anyways, he also came to church with us the next day and it was just like old times. He is doing great and I miss him like crazy!
And then of course we got sweet Sydnee! Sydnee is from Norman Oklahoma and her family is really good friends with the mission presidents family. She is 17 and deciding if she wants to go on a mission. So Sister Mansell sent her to us for 5 days! We are so excited to have her, and honored that they thought of us to send her to! Its gonna be a great week!
Well thats about it. Its still hot. and we are still having a great time. I love sister Hancock so much. We are nervous for transfer news this week, but whatever happens I know it will be okay because we are gonna be besties for life. :) Feelin blessed and highly favored thats for sure!
Love yall,
Sister Gentry
Potential Sister Missionary with us for the week!
