There has been Sunshine in my Soul this Week

The weather has been perfect and I am happy to say that my tanlines are coming in nice. That makes me very happy! We had a very successful hammock bible study this week and talked to a lot of people!

Sister Baker is growing and learning in leaps and bounds. Its amazing to watch. She pushes me to become better everyday. I love how we have made a habit of setting daily goals in the morning and then following up on our bike ride home. I really admire her and her confidence. The coolest thing this week was that after we had OYMed someone on campus she was like "can I give you some constructive criticism?" I said sure, and she then told me a few things that I could work on from the OYM. It was awesome. I love how open and comfortable she feels to do that, and I feel like I can do the same thing. I definitely would not have done that with my trainer! I love our companionship!

A miracle we saw this week was that during the ice storm, we knocked our apartment complex and found a lady named Sam, well she was busy but told us that we could come back. So on Saturday we went back and she let us in and it was amazing. We taught a very spiritual lesson and she invited us back! I love being a missionary. I love the gospel. I love sister Baker! I love OU.

this week we are also meeting with another lady we met during the snow storm named Kristen. She went to church for a year in Ohio (and loved it) and so we are very excited to see where she is at!

I love the scriptures. Lately Ive been digging deep into Alma and wow. Its just the best. There is so much to learn. I love Ammon and Amulek. And also the teachings of Aaron. and Alma....I guess I just love them all!

Also we had MLC (Mission leadership council....or something) and we learned a lot about confidence and how to have humble confidence and not be prideful. I think most people tend to shrink away when it comes to strengths and stuff. But Heavenly Father gave us strengths and gifts for a reason. If we hid those, trying to be humble about them, then what good does it do? How do you think Heavenly Father feels if you dont use and appreciate what he blessed you with? Go and do good with who you are. Own who you are and be confident as a child of God!

Love you all!

Sister Gentry
