Keeping it Icy

Hey guys! Whoever said Oklahoma wasnt cold, lied. This morning we spent a good minute scraping the ice off the car. The doors were frozen shut. But then it warmed up and everything melted. So thankfully its been a little warmer during the day, but really cold at night. this week was a lot of fun though. We were able to go teach our investigator Sheri and it went super well. We were testifying of prophets and I had a very strong feeling from the spirit that there is a prophet on the earth today. And like yeah I already know that, and the spirit is always in the lessons, but this was like an extra strong feeling. It was interesting that the next day we got news that President Monson had passed away. It was cool to have that experience this week.

We did a lot of good tracting this week, and met some really interesting people haha. Lately we have been keeping a lint roller with us because we get loved on by so many dogs, we are always covered in fur. Its lovely :) haha. We found some really great potentials from tracting this week though, and it has been good to be out on our bikes these last couple days when it hasnt been so cold!

This week we also got to go up to Bartlesville for exchanges. It was pretty fun, and always nice to have a change of scenery once in a while! And one of their members took us out to dinner at a really nice restaurant. We took a picture, Ill have to see if I can find it because im sitting under an elk and its great.

On Sunday our meeting time changed to 9 so that was fun! Sister Pohl and I were at the doors passing out programs and greeting people when President and Sister Mansell walked in! Haha I had to look twice. We had no idea they were coming. But it was awesome and they were just there to visit the ward and they bore their testimonies in fast and testimony meeting. We will also get to see them on Tuesday this week when we get our SMART PHONES! Im so excited. It is going to make everything so much easier!

I had a really special moment this week with a member. So Im really close with this family named the Johns. I love them a lot. They have 4 amazing kids. 3 girls, 1 boy. Anyways, I have gotten to know them well as I have been here. Well yesterday Sister John came up to me at church and gave me a hug and said. thank you for being who you are. Because of you, two of my girls want to serve missions. It made me want to cry because I have done nothing for that family compared what they have done for me. They are constantly willing to help us out and serve us. I cant describe what I felt at that moment, knowing the impact of our relationship. I can only describe it as a fullness of joy, and an overpowering feeling of the spirit confirming that I am where I need to be.

I am very excited for this week. We already have some really great appointments scheduled with investigators who ACTUALLY WANT TO MEET WITH US! (we've been having a problem with people avoiding us lately :) so im pumped! The work is great. The church is true. And I love being a missionary! Sister Pohl is doing amazing, and has improved so much! Its been the best thing to see her grow and progress. I cant believe that this Saturday we find out transfers. I hope I get to stay, but I always guess wrong, so I guess we will see!

Love you guys! Don't forget to read your BoM! :)
