Soggy missionaries are better than soggy waffles
Hey yall!
This week we have had a total change of weather. I didnt think I was in the right state anymore. We got so much rain and it has been so much cooler! But let me tell you, we have been WET!!! haha. I still dont think that my shoes are dry but all is well! It has been fun to be in something different. But let me just say that I can never live in Oregon and live in all the rain. After like 2 days I was ready to see the sun!
We had interviews this week with President and Sister Mansell. Of course it was great. We got to do a training about being bold and it was a lot of fun!
And here are a few miracles from the week!
So on Saturday we went to Seymour to visit our investigators there. Well we started to give a lesson about why church is so important to Casey, but their daughter Ella (13) was there and we started asking her questions like why she thought there were so many churches on the earth. Anyways, we ended up teaching the restoration and it was so cool. The spirit was very strong especially when we shared the first vision. She committed to read the book of mormon and pray about if it is true! It would be so cool if Ella, Jason, and Casey all got baptized on the same day! It would be the best thing ever! Jason is still working on quitting smoking. Keep praying for him!
Then we went to see our investigator Cagney. Well Cagney had some really great questions, so we started talking about those, but then Cagney said that she invited her friend Kaylan over to meet us! Anyways, she ended up telling us her whole life story and it was cool because now we are going to teach Kaylan as well! She really needs the gospel, let me tell ya! I think its just neat though because we have been so busy with travelling to meetings and exchanges and stuff and so when we are in our area we are booked with all the lessons that we have to teach (which of course is a good thing). But it limits the time we have to find. Well this week we sat down and made goals of what we wanted to happen and then a plan of what we were going to do to make that happen. And then wrote down what we were going to sacrifice to show God that we really need his help. Well its been working and its just amazing! I love being a missionary! God is so good and I know that we can accomplish anything with him!
April is doing really good as well. She is down to one cigarette!
Anyways, life is so good as a missionary. This week we have greenie graduation for sister Maloney. She will do great! It will be exciting to get that done!
Well keep preparing for general conference! I am so excited! Im pretty sure its like Christmas for missionaries when conference comes around!
Love yall!
