Headin' back to Oklahoma!

Well this week has been a great one! We have been so blessed and seen many wonderful miracles.
Here are few amazing experience from this week.

So we were trying to find some unknown part member families. So we pulled up to this house and a lady is sitting on the front porch. She invited us up and we got talking and she was so open and nice. She was baptized about 20 years ago but hasn't really been back since because her husband doesn't allow it. He had a bad experience with some missionaries. Well, she has 4 kids, and her husband works in the oil fields. 2 weeks gone 1 week home. He was supposed to get home the following day. As we are sitting there, her husband pulls up and she is in shock! She kept saying just how ironic it was that the day we come, he comes home early and he never does that. Well we got to meet him and talk to him for a while and he really likes us! I know that it was definitely Gods hand that we were there at that time. We are going to keep working with them and hopefully teach the husband and kids!

Another day we went to go teach our investigator Chris. Well we got there and his friend was cutting his sons hair and had brought his whole family. While they were talking and cutting hair, we got to teach the wife the restoration and she accepted a book of Mormon and told us we could come Back! What a miracle. Then we had a great lesson with Chris afterwards!

We also got to have the Duncan sisters come to Wichita for exchanges. We had lots of good things happen, but this one is awesome. Sister Tribe and I were on MSU campus talking to people. We met a gal named Celestine and needed up giving her a book of Mormon and getting her phone number. When we texted her, she was really resistant to meet, but we talked her into it. So towards the end of the week sister Maloney and I went back and were able to teach her the restoration. The spirit was so strong and she felt it. She knows that she needs to find out if this is true and is going to read and pray!

Also Steve McKee from broken arrow came down this week!! This past Sunday, the 23rd was is 1 year day of being baptized! And he said he wanted to come and spend it with me! We went out to lunch on Saturday and then he came to church with us on Sunday. It was so good to see him. He is doing great and has changed so much! If not anything else, I am so grateful for the amazing friendships and family I have gained don my mission. These people will be my lifelong friends and I am so grateful for that.

Saturday afternoon we headed to Seymour. We went to Jason and Casey first and Jason was pretending to be in a bad mood. Casey told us to ask him why and he told us it's because he hasn't smoked in a week and is fixin to be baptized here soon! What a miracle. I can't believe he is finally quitting and I am leaving. (Oh yeah haha, I'm getting transferred to OKC). But it went so well and you could see the change him him. Heavenly father is blessing him for keeping the word of wisdom!

Last but not least, today we finally were able to go and see Isatu. She is from Africa, her husband is a member and we taught her a long time ago. She kind of fell of the face of the earth but recently has been opening up again. Anyways, we prepared a lesson today and went for it. Long story short, we finally found her need. She believe that the book of Mormon is true, but she didn't understand why she needed to be baptised again. We were able to go over the restoration and the importance of proper authority. And then she said she would pray about getting baptized!!! It's is such a testimony to me that God works in his own time, in his own way when people are ready. I feel so blessed to be apart of this great work and to see Gods hand in all of our lives.

Yeah so like I said I am getting tranferred. I am very sad, I have been in Wichita for 6 months. I love it here and i love the people even more. But it's also exciting! Sister Maloney will be getting sister Lewis who i was companions with at OU campus! I am so excited for her! My new address is 1301 W Hefner Rd Apt 3502. Oklahoma city, OK.

Love y'all!
