Free Food out the Wazooo

Hola familia y amigos!

This week went by muy rapido!! Haha. So as y'all know we had Sydnee with us all week for a mini mission and boy did we see the miracles! It was amazing. I wish I could share every moment with y'all. It was so much fun! Anyways, first miracle..

Remember Eric, the referral from last week? Well he ended up taking us to lunch at this delicious BBQ place called the branding iron. It was cool as we talked, he said he really just wants to be able to raise a family with a solid foundation in Christ. He was saying things like, "it's gonna be hard to give up a few things, but I know I can do it" like he already wanted to join the church. It was so sweet! Haha. Later that day we were laughing cause then we went to go help a lady clean her house and we could have been on hoarders or something. She had 5 dogs and let's just say it was a great time :)...

The biggest miracle that day though we see went over to Linda's for dinner. Afterwards we had a lesson and it went great. And actually I remembered this was another day we stopped by but that doesn't really matter, But we asked when she wanted to be baptised and she said the 7th. We literally almost died! It was like WHAT?!?! we are so excited. So we are still working out the details. But planning on the 7th for both Linda and Garricks baptism. It's cool because we have been working with them for 6 months!! The Lord sure does have his own timing for things. Another miracle is that Linda also gave us her 21 year old daughters information who lives in Dallas so that we can send the missionaries to her! Woot!

Okay the funniest thing that happened this week was probably when we were biking and I literally got pooped on by a bird. I screamed in disgust and Sydnee and sister Hancock almost fell off their bikes laughing. It was literally warm! Blah!

Long story short we tried to go and eat out 2 differnet times, because sydnee was going to buy us a meal, and both times we ran into members who payed haha. We are so blessed!!

Okay next, on day it was a billion degrees and we were biking around and ALL of our plans feel through. We had been knocking doors for a while and nobody was home. Anyways, we said a prayed and decided to drive to Henrietta, a little town about 20 minutes away. Not only did we get to teach our investigator Christina, we met her uncle (non member who even came to church this week) but we went a visited a less active family and we knew we were led there by the spirit. The wife got offended years ago, and she said that she now knows she needs to forgive and get back to church and we helped her to see that. It was awesome!

Amongst all of this we also had exchanges with the Altus sisters who came down and so we split Wichita. That was fun because we also had Sydnee who got to stay an extra day with us which we were so glad for! On exchanges sister Hamilton and I went to eat dinner with our investigators Rosa and Henry. After we are we got talking about the gospel and ended up teaching them half of the plan of salvation and the restoration. For the first time, I think they finally got why it was so important. The spirit was so strong and they committed to pray and read the book of Mormon to see if it's true!

I'm sorry I know this is long but just so many great things happened!

Friday night we went to the Babbels (an awesome family in our ward) and they have a tradition for the missionaries. It's a taco challenge. Eat as many tacos as you can in an hour. You get a shirt with your number of tacos consumed on the back. Anyways all the eldeslrs were there and I'm proud to say that I ate 17 tacos and beat every last one of them :)

Saturday we went to Seymour. We were feeling a little anxious because we have these investigators, Jason and Casey. They know it's true, but they haven't been coming to church because of some things that have been going on with people on the branch. We were prepared to go and be bold and tell them to just use the atonement and forgive. (Lovingly) Anyways, turns out one of the branch members texted Jason and they were taking about it, and it helped him to realize that his salvation nd church going is about him and the Lord and not other people. And so they are coming back to church! What a miracle!!!

Anyways like I said, it's been an amazing week. It was sad to say goodbye to Sydnee.

And then on Sunday night we got transfer news. I will be staying and training in Wichita, and Sister Hancock will be going to Anadarko and finishing someones training. We are so sad. I am going to miss her so much she has become one of my best friends. I know she will do great though, and that is where she needs to be.

Anyways, Love yall! Pray for my pour greenie haha. Enjoy my favorite holiday for me! #murica
