What is UP?

So I feel like this week was only 3 days long and cant remember most of it. Haha. I guess its a good thing but I know a ton of things happened this week and so forgive me if this email is short. :)

So once again its freezing (man I always start with the weather haha thats pretty boring) but its a big part of things out here because we are always outside. But anyways we found some pretty cool people this week. One day we were walking on campus and we complimented this girl on something and kept walking. Well she starts laughing and we were like "yeah typical we know we look like morons" but she turns around and tells us to wait! Long story short, her name is Emmy and she is from Littleton, CO and (doesnt know the Gentrys there) has a ton of mormon friends on missions. She said that she always sees us around campus but is always too scared to say hi. So it was awesome. And then Saturday night we had an event called cookies and Christ. We invited all our investigators and recent converts and some members to fellowship them. We had a spiritual thought and cookies and played some games. Anyways, Emmy came and brought two friends and loved it! We really want to start teaching her and we know all of her mormon friends are praying for her. :)

We also went on exchanges this week. I had sister Jenkins come to OU with me and Sis Lewis went to Noble with sister Walker. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. There were some girl scouts selling cookies that day and so we bought some and would use them as conversation starters with people on campus. (of course we ate some too :) but it was a lot of fun. And I also lost another name tag that day. I dont know how it happened, or where they all go, but Im down to one haha.

So probably the highlight of my week was on Saturday afternoon, we were right outside the institute building about to cross the road and head out to talk to people on campus when a car pulls up and starts waving and saying hi and stuff. I waved back and then went to cross the street. Well I glanced up again and it was the JOHN FAMILY from Owasso! They were spending the weekend in OKC and decided to drive down to Norman to see if they could find me. I was SSOOOOO excited and happy to see them and literally overjoyed that they took the time to see me. It was the best. They took Sister Lewis and I to ice cream and we got to catch up. I just want you all to know how amazing they are and the great example they set and the impact its had on my life. If everyone was like the John family there would be a lot more love and happiness in the world. :) So anyways, if you cant tell, that was awesome.

Oh and another highlight was zone conference this week. Its always good, and president Mansell is so inspired just amazing. I am so blessed to be able to be in Oklahoma of all places in the best mission in the world! I learned and received answers to questions I didnt even know I had. I LOVE THE GOSPEL!

Oh and update on investigators: Alli is doing awesome! We moved her baptism to the 17th the only reason being that wednesday night being valentines day was crazy and there was also mutual and institute going on that night.

Hannah is also doing great. She is so close and we are hoping to set a baptismal date with her this week.

Elyssa -Wow miracle week with her- yesterday in church she just had the strongest impression that she needed to move out (she is living with her boyfriend) so that she can be baptized. She has been coming to church for a long time and everyone thinks she is a member, but she cant move back home to washington, and isnt financially stable to live on her own. but she decided that she is going to get another job and find a roommate and trust the Lord! She has so much faith!

Wow so great week! I love you all! Dont forget to SMILE!

Love, Sister Gentry
