Oklahoma is getting greener..and a greenie

Well this week was definitely super crazy. so it all started monday. We went paint balling. and yes it was approved by our mission president to go. so about the 3rd or fourth game we played there was some miscommunication and an Elder got shot in the eye by another Elder without a mask and at a very close distance. So he was rushed off to the ER and he is fine but we now call him Nick Fury because he cant quite see yet and he has to wear an eye patch. haha. Anyways so that started the week off great and im pretty sure that our mission president wont allow anyone to play paintball anymore, but not sure....

So Tuesday we had exchanges with the Noble sisters and the came over Monday night to sleep because we were going to split campus. So long story short, when we woke up and went to the gym it was 65 degrees and warm and by the time we got out it was like 30 degrees and pouring rain. Yay. So we headed to campus and got completely soaked. By 12:30 the rain had gotten worse and it had gotten colder and so they decided to SHUT DOWN CAMPUS! that means that everything closed and there were no more classes. That is not a good thing as a missionary serving on a campus because like what else are we supposed to do?! Yeah so we had to get creative and luckily we had a couple lessons with potentials where we got two new investigators!!!!! Ben and Evan. It was awesome!
So the next day campus was also closed and our cars were grounded at noon (meaning we couldnt drive them because of the ice) and so we had to go back to our apartments. It was also like sleeting really bad and so we really didn't want to go outside but sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven. So we said a prayer to help us and headed out to knock our apartment complex. We ended up finding 3 awesome potentials. One was named Kristen, from Ohio, she had gone to the church in Ohio for a year and loved it! She didn't know that there was one here and totally wants to come and meet up with us! I am so excited! Anyways the next day campus (thursday) campus was also closed. (we had no idea what we were going to do) and at this point its still pouring rain and icing everything. And then we get a call that it was mission wide cleaning day and that everyone had to deep clean their apartments. I was not excited to be stuck in the apartment all day and if you watch the video about that you will laugh because I was not happy. And the worst part about cleaning day was that we had this closet that hadnt been cleaned out in probably 50 years and I found a colony of spiders and egg sacks. It was lovely :(. But the Elders ordered us pizza for lunch so that was a miracle and super nice of them. We have the best missionaries around us. Also because of the ice, interviews were cancelled but we were able to have them over the phone so that was good.

Well yeah so this week has just been insane but the work of the lord never stops! Its the best.
We also got told transfers last night and it looks like I will be staying on OU and I will be TRAINING!!! I am so excited to get another greenie like honestly its the funnest thing ever!!!!!
I cannot wait to meet her! I am sad that sister Lewis will be leaving though. We have so much fun together and have learned so much from eachother. I love how missions are completely organized by divine design. We are all meant to be where we need to and be with certain people. Its the coolest thing ever!

I love the gospel so much. Its the best thing ever. I am excited for this new transfer and the changes that it will bring. THE CHURCH IS TRUE!!! And with the lord, anything is possible, even with freezing rain and snow. :)

-Love, Sister Gentry
