Owasso!

Hey yall!

Transfers are done and I have successful settled into a new apartment and companion! I am currently in Owasso which is actually only like 25 ish minutes from my last area! (Ive actually been on exchanges here before!) Its very similar like geographically except there are less hills. Also a few more sidewalks but not much....(sorry granny)

Goodbyes were really sad though. Amy bawled and was a little upset that God was taking her missionary away. We had a long talk about God needs me somewhere else right now and she seemed okay about it. Steve was really sad too. (haha he said when I have a goat farm he will come work for me and that I better stay in touch!) But im planning on going to his baptism this week so that is exciting!

So my new comp is Sister Woolner and I LOVE HER! She is so sweet and amazing. She is from Oregon and did a year at BYU before she came out. She had 3 months left, and I have been out 3 months so thats cool. We have a lot of fun together. When we were driving home from transfers we were singing our heads off to pentatonix christmas. It was so fun! AND get this. This apartment complex has a mini gym. (Tender mercies) So you know im in there every morning! We bike a lot here too but the area is smaller. My favorite part about the area is this little town we have called Collinsville. Its super small and way cute. We are actually going to go shop and walk around main street today for P day. I love small towns.

So this week has been a lot of finding and me getting to know the area. Its a little overwhelming but its great. I met this less active lady who is super nice and she has 6 goats, a cow and a CLYDESDALE! She asked if we were allowed to ride (we arent :( but she totally was going to let me. (SO sad) But its okay. Im not here for that. :)

The apartment I moved into was extremely gross and so I have been doing a lot of organizing and cleaning. haha. Its good now!

Already seen some miracles this week! We have a book of Mormon class every Thursday night and randomly, a less active lady decided to come and really wants to come back to church. It was amazing. And the ward is super amazing. We are doing whats called the Lost Sheep initiative. Which is tracking down people who we dont know on our ward list. We are trying to find everyone but the coolest part about this, is that the whole ward council is totally on board and are helping. Anyways, Im just really excited to be here with Sister Woolner and in this ward.

Whats also cool about this transfer is that we just got news that we are having a mission wide conference. We havent been given any details but it never happens. Usually we have zone conf and like christmas conf (and that is only half the mission at a time) but this is Mission conf. Im hoping someone awesome is coming! then we have a temple trip (it will be the last one before the temple closes for renovation) so it will be the last time I will go on my mission. (sad) And them we have GENERAL CONFERENCE which I am sooo excited for!!! Start preparing now! How amazing is it that we have a prophet today to lead and to guide us.

Well the Church is true and there is nothing I would rather be doing right now!

Love, sister Gentry
